POREČ-PARENZO is a Croatian municipality located on the western coast of the Istrian peninsula. Covenant of Mayors signatory since 2012, its efforts towards sustainable development have been widely recognised. Indeed, it has been awarded as Smart City in 2017 and 2018, and declared the ‘most proactive city on the Adriatic coast’ by Greenpeace. Helped by REScoop.eu, Poreč will work on the Community Energy pillar to identify the needs, disseminate the learnings locally, and organise relevant events on the topic for the Croatian stakeholders.
